2nd German-Polish Energy Get-Together

On June 8, 2022 in Cottbus the second of a series of Polish-German energy meetings dedicated to energy transformation of border regions such as Spree-Neisse-Bober took place. The meeting was attended by representatives of local authorities, industry, scientific institutions, as well as public benefit organizations such as the Polish Green Network.

This time the meeting focused on hydrogen technology. The chances of developing this technology in Poland and Germany were discussed. Several lectures were devoted to the introduction of research strategies and methods from the perspective of both countries and regions.

During the meeting, practical examples of hydrogen technology development in Poland and Germany were presented, and its future was discussed, also in terms of scientific cross-border cooperation in the implementation of joint scientific and educational projects in this field.

The University of Zielona Góra was represented by the Prof. Marcin Mrugalski - Vice-Rector for Science and International Cooperation, Prof. Anna Staszczuk and Prof. Justyna Patalas, while CEBra e.V. was represented by Prof. Hans Joachim Krautz, Dr Iwona Napierała and Eng. Gerd Krautz. During the break you could get acquainted with information materials on projects carried out by UZ, CEBra e.V, BTU and the City of Zielona Góra in the field of energy storage.
